In January 2005, NIHON GENERIC Co., Ltd. was established as a fully-owned subsidiary of NIHON CHOUZAI Co. Ltd., the largest company in the insurance pharmacy industry.
Population aging in Japan is accompanied by a gradual rise in national expenditure on healthcare, and the wider use of generic drugs has become part of national policy as a powerful solution. Our mission is to use the knowledge and experience gained from the dispensing pharmacy business to provide excellent generic drugs to a great number of patients, thus easing the burden on household finances and helping to curb the nation's medical costs.
Generic drugs have now gained full recognition. Our future goal is to earn the trust of patients as well as doctors, pharmacists and other healthcare professionals through developing and providing innovative new products.
